There’s something magical about a spring wedding in Rhode Island. The flowers are beginning to bloom, the air feels fresh and hopeful, and every bit of soft light seems to add an extra layer of romance to the day.
This beautiful spring wedding at Tiverton Boathouse in Tiverton, RI was a perfect reminder that the most meaningful weddings are often the ones centered on family, genuine connection, and celebrating what matters most.
The day began with a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. One of my favorite things about photographing weddings at Tiverton Boathouse is the variety of beautiful backdrops available throughout the property. From the elegant architecture and waterfront setting to the natural beauty surrounding the venue, there are endless opportunities for timeless wedding portraits.
Despite the unpredictable nature of spring weather in New England, the day unfolded beautifully. The soft overcast skies created flattering light for portraits, allowing us to capture authentic moments without harsh sunlight. These are the kinds of conditions photographers secretly love because they help create romantic, true-to-life images filled with emotion.
After the ceremony, we spent time creating family portraits and wedding party photographs before exploring the grounds for couple portraits. The bride's bouquet added the perfect pop of color against the soft spring landscape, while the classic blue suit and elegant bridal gown created a timeless look that will never go out of style.
One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how relaxed and present everyone felt. There was no rush to create perfect moments. Instead, the focus remained on enjoying the day, spending time with loved ones, and soaking in every part of the celebration. Those authentic interactions always become the photographs couples treasure most years later.
