April weddings in New England always carry a bit of magic — soft light, fresh blooms, and the quiet romance of spring just beginning. This wedding at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts was no exception.
Although the day brought steady rain, it created the most beautiful atmosphere for portraits and a calm, intimate pace throughout the celebration. The flowering trees around campus had just begun to bloom, adding touches of spring color that made everything feel especially meaningful and seasonal.
The ceremony took place inside Holy Cross, followed by portraits on the steps and around campus in between showers. Rainy wedding days often bring a sense of closeness and flexibility, and this one felt relaxed, joyful, and full of genuine moments.
Some of my favorite images from the day came from those in-between pauses — walking together after the ceremony, quiet laughter under umbrellas, and the soft spring light reflecting off the wet brick paths.
